General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2017 Cadillac XT5 vehicles manufactured April 16, 2016, to May 9, 2016, and 2017 GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured April 19, 2016, to April 22, 2016. The front brake calipers may have a torn or misaligned caliper piston seal which may allow brake fluid to leak.

If there is a brake fluid leak, braking performance may be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.

DEFECTIVE UPPER DASHBOARD HAS LARGE BALLOONED AREA IN CENTER WHERE ADHESIVE EITHER FAILED OR WASN'T APPLIED AND LOWER DASHBOARD HAS DEFECTIVE LUMP UNDER MATERIAL. THESE DEFECTS SHOULD NEVER HAVE LEFT THE FACTORY. POOR QUALITY CONTROL. BOTH DASHBOARDS ARE TO BE REPLACED BY DEALER.

WATER SLOSHES OUT OF BOTTLE IN CUP HOLDER, JACKET FALLS OFF CLOTHES HOOK IN BACKSEAT, EGGS BREAK IN EGG CARTON ALL DUE TO SIGNIFICANT AND CONSTANT VIBRATION AT ALL SPEEDS.

I HAVE WRITTEN CADILLAC AND AM WAITING FOR THEIR RESPONSE. WHILE NOT A SAFETY ISSUE PER SE, IT IS FRUSTRATING AND NOT EXPECTED ON A CAR THAT COST ALMOST $64,000.

THE CARS AUTO SHUTOFF SHUTS OFF THE INSTANT THAT THE CAR STOPS, AT STOP SIGNS, THE CAR SHUTS OFF CAN THEN STARTING TO PRECEED HESITATES AS IT STARTS. THIS COULD CAUSE A MISJUDGEMENT IN THE ABILITY TO ENTER THE TRAFFIC FLOW AND RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. THE FEATURE IS NOT ADJUSTABLE.
