MY PERSONAL OPINION IS BAD PISTON RINGS!!! GROVES ARE CREATED OVER TIME AND THUS OIL IS CONSUMED INTO THE BLOCK. I DID THE RECOMMENDED OIL CONSUMPTION TEST AT DEALER AND BY THE END I WAS LOSING 1 QT OIL EVERY 800 MILES. NEW SHORT BLOCK INSTALLED AT AROUND 79K MILES. THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND HONDA WILL, SHOULD MAKE IT RIGHT. TO ALL THE PEOPLE GOING THROUGH THIS, BE PERSISTENT!!!!
