If the electrical regenerative brake system fails, there will be an increased delay between when the driver brakes and when the vehicle decelerates. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."

A delay in deceleration, increases the distance needed to stop and the risk of a crash.

Electrical system mileage not reported 3.9 yr in service

The contact owns a 2020 Jaguar I-Pace. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V369000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that they were waiting for the software to perform the recall repair. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that the software was not available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool shows no open recall.

Electrical system 25,000 mi 3.8 yr in service

The contact owns a 2020 Jaguar I-Pace. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who replaced the battery; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.

Electrical system mileage not reported 4.3 yr in service

24-volt battery failed, causing the steering column to lock up and all components to malfunction. All doors were locked, and I could not get out of the vehicle. I had to call my husband to let me out through the vehicle's truck manually. This has caused me a great deal of anxiety. There was no indication prior to this situation, and I have reported this issue to the dealer service department. This issue has not been inspected yet.
