THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER WHO STATED THAT THERE COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE; HOWEVER, THERE WERE NO RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THAT THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.
