The tailgate actuator limiter tab may fracture and cause the tailgate to unlatch and open while driving.
If the tailgate opens while the vehicle is being driven, cargo may fall out the vehicle and create a road hazard, increasing the risk of crash.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling various Dodge, Chrysler, and RAM vehicles equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. THE TRUCK IS AN ECODIESEL. THIS IS A REPLACEMENT TRUCK FROM A BUYBACK ON A 2014. BOTH TRUCKS ARE THE SAME, ONE 2014 AND ONE 2015. IN COLD WEATHER THEY FAIL TO START. BETWEEN THE TWO TRUCKS THEY HAVE BEEN TOWED A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES. ONE TRUCK HAD 2800 MILES THE OTHER 768. BEEN OUT OF SERVICE 9 WEEKS. THIS IS A LARMINE ECO DIESEL WITH 9,600 MILES ON THE ENGINE. DEALERSHIP STILL HASN'T FIGURED OUT WHAT THE "DID NOT TRAIN" ERROR MESSAGE WAS -PREVIOUSLY REPORTED ALONG WITH THE STEERING SHACKING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
