If the DRL module melts due to the heat generation, it could cause a vehicle fire.
DT: WENT TO ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR, AND RENTED A 2005 CHEVROLET AVEO. VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT A STORE. THE CONSUMER TRIED TO BACK OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE, AND THE CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE. IT SEEMED TO JUST LOCK. THE CONSUMER HAD TO USE HER STRENGTH TO PUSH IT INTO REVERSE. THEN, TOOK VEHICLE HOME, PARKED IT, AND TRIED IT LATER. IT DID THE SAME THING. MY CLUTCH LET GO IN MY CAR, I WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC THAT THE CLUTCH GOT TOO HOT AND CRACKED THE PLATE AND THE FLYWHEEL, IT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT, THE CAR WAS HAVING TROUBLE SHIFTING AND I COULD OF BEEN HURT. *TR
2005 AVEO 3RD TIME WITH THIS PROBLEM IT WILL NOT COME OUT OF PARK IT STICKS .2 TIMES THE DEALER TOLD ME IT WAS THE SHIFTER. 3RD TIME THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A BAD CONNECTION TO THE BRAKES. KNOW SENSE THEY STATED IT'S FIXED WHEN YOU PRESS THE BRAKE THE SHIFT CLICKS LOUD ALSO YOU DON'T HAVE TO PUSH THE SHIFTER DOWN IT JUST SLIDES UP AND DOWN..
