In the affected vehicles, the hooks that secure the driver's and/or front passenger's seat frame may not have been properly attached to the vehicle body during assembly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems."
If the seat-frame attachment hooks are not secured properly, the seat may not be adequately anchored to the vehicle, and in the event of a crash, the seat occupant could be at an increased risk of an injury.
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Colorado vehicles manufactured September 15, 2014, to January 21, 2015, and 2015 GMC Canyon vehicles manufactured October 3, 2014, to December 9, 2014. The affected vehicles have a front driver air bag inflator that may be misaligned to the air bag module backplate. This can cause the inflator to separate from the backplate during a deployment.
If the inflator separates from the back plate in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, this may cause the air bag or steering wheel components to separate and be propelled into the interior compartment, potentially seriously injuring the driver or other occupants. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
If the driver air bag does not deploy as designed, there is an increased risk of driver injury in the event of a crash necessitating air bag deployment.
WHEN STARTING UP A HILL, AT A SLOW SPEED, THE TRANSMISSION, WILL HESITATE, ALMOST STOP, UNTIL THE GAS PEDAL IS PUSHED DOWN TO GET THE VEHICLE MOVING. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM, I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY DEALER, THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS ADAPTING TO MY DRIVING STYLE, AND WILL SOON IMPROVE.

I HAVE BEEN ON A FEW CLOSE CALLS, ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT A COUPLE OF TIMES BECAUSE OF THIS BUCKING AND DELAY ON REACTING WHEN YOU NEED TO GET THE POWER FROM THE ENGINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET COLORADO. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH AND DOWNSHIFTING IN MANUAL MODE, THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ACCESS DOOR SENSORS FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90.
ENGINE INTERMITTENTLY IDLES ROUGH AND STALLS. ENGINE STALLED WHILE STOPPED IN INTERSECTION NECESSITATING A RESTART. PLACED CAR INTO NEUTRAL, RESTARTED, AND WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE INTERSECTION BUT AFTER LIGHT TURNED RED. DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE OR DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM DESPITE TWO ATTEMPTS.
