As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 214, "Side Impact Protection."
If the seat-mounted air bags cannot not deploy correctly in the event of a crash, there would be an increased risk of injury.

The improper heat treatment can result in the halfshaft breaking, preventing the engine from moving the vehicle, and can allow a possible roll away situation if the parking brake is not engaged. This can increase the risk of a crash.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CIVIC. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE RPMS DECREASED TO ZERO. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTART IT AFTER A FEW MINUTES, BUT THE ENGINE SHOOK. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (FLETCHER JONES HONDA LOCATED AT 1111 N CLARK ST SUITE 2, CHICAGO, IL 60610; 312-614-1948), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-999-1009 AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT ASSIST IF THE DEALER WAS NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 110.
RODENTS CHEWING THROUGH ELECTRICAL WIRING IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. HONDA USING SOY BASED WIRING JACKETING THAT ATTRACTS THE RODENTS TO CHEW UP THE WIRING IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.
I WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT WHERE I THEN PROCEEDED TO PARK MY CAR INTO A PARKING SPOT. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND THE CAR CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD. THE CAR ENDED UP HITTING THE BUILDING THAT WAS 2 FEET IN FRONT OF ME. THE CAR THEN REVERSED ON IT'S OWN AND CHARGED FORWARD TO HIT THE BUILDING AGAIN. THE SECOND TIME IT HIT THE BUILDING THE AIR BAG WENT OFF. I TRIED TO PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE MANUALLY TO PREVENT IT FROM HITTING THE BUILDING. WHEN I DID THIS , THE CAR ACCELERATED BACKWARDS .
