WE OWN A 2007 HONDA RIDGELINE. THE METAL INNER RING ON THE STEERING WHEEL SEPARATED FROM THE RUBBERY OUTER RING. THIS DEFECT CAUSES THE OUTER RING TO TWIST AND GIVE OFF AN ODOR. THE ODOR MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I NEED TO VOMIT. THE COMBINATION OF THE UNSECURED OUTER RING AND THE DISTRACTION OF THE URGE TO VOMIT MAKES FOR UNSAFE DRIVING. MY 2007 HONDA RIDGELINE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE AND DUE TO A SHORT CIRCUIT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONSUMER STATED IT WAS NOTED BY THE TECHNICIAN THAT A SHORT CIRCUIT CAUSED BY A FAULTY GROUND WIRE DISABLED THE AIR BAG SYSTEM. UPDATED 04/28/10
