A seam in the fabric section of the side curtain air bags may tear during side curtain air bag deployment, potentially affecting the performance of the air bag. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation", and number 214, "Side Impact Protection."
In the event of a crash necessitating side curtain air bag deployment, if the side curtain air bags do not deploy as intended there would be an increased risk of injury.

BUT END OF THE DAY, THEY SAID THEY JUST CHECK THE CAR AND ORDER PARTS. RECALL SERVICE NEED TO WAIT FOR PARTS COME IN. THEY SAID IT MAY TAKE A COUPLE DAY OR A COUPLE MONTH. 2018-01-08 I TEXT MESSAGED TO SERVICE MANAGER FOR THE UPDATE. NO REPLAY. IT'S BEEN MORE THAN 2 WEEKS.

THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT CALLED MARSHALL NISSAN AT 866-413-5799 (3550 S 9TH ST SALINA, KS 67401) AND WAS REFERRED TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,500.
