Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.

Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash.

The speedometer can report zero (0) when the car is moving slowly. This is probably the rounding policy in software. The actual speed was maybe 0.4 mph, but was reported as zero mph. If the actual speed was 10.4 mph but reported as 10, fine, not a big deal, but zero has a much different meaning than any other value. It means none, that the car isn't moving, but the car was.

Vehicle displayed a âCritial Power Failureâ on the highway twice while under 1000 miles odometer. Vehicle acceleration stopped and car coasted. Needed to pull over and shut off. After turning on displayed âEmissions System Failureâ warning for about 48 hours then cleared. Vehicle stalled twice while driving on the highway with no power. Very dangerous as one time I had nowhere to pull over while my car slowed to a stop. Children were very scared in the backseat.

While driving, I used the factory wireless phone charger in my Honda CR-V with an iPhone 15 Pro. The phone was placed directly on the charging pad with no case and Apple CarPlay was in use. During an extended drive, the phone failed to charge beyond approximately 50% and became excessively hot. Charging appeared inconsistent or stopped while heat continued to increase. I am concerned that the wireless charging system may cause overheating that could damage devices or present a potential fire or safety hazard. This occurred during normal, expected use of the vehicleâs built-in equipment.
