Maybe itâs possible that it was the same problem with my vehicle.
The engine has been consuming excessive amounts of oil since the vehicle was purchased used in Aug 2022. Eventually during normal highway driving the engine made a loud knock, lost all power, and all of the oil began spilling out of the engine creating a large oil slick on the highway. The sudden lose of engine power led to difficulty steering and braking to move the vehicle to the shoulder of the road.
Right after an oil change the oil light came on and the engine started making noises. Took it to a mechanic and they said the car lost pressure in cylinder 3 and he had 4 other kias and Hyundais with the same exact problem in the same exact cylinder. $6000 to fix...
