General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and GMC Sierra 2500 vehicles equipped with the enhanced towing option and 20-inch accessory tire/wheel package. The tire information label may state the incorrect rear tire pressure, resulting in underinflated tires and preventing the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) from displaying a low tire pressure warning.

Driving with underinflated tires can increase the risk of a crash.

The tailgate's electronic gate-release switch may short circuit due to water intrusion, which can result in the tailgate inadvertently unlatching while the vehicle is in Park.

An unlatched tailgate may open and result in a loss of unsecured cargo, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

New Silverado 2500 HD LT and new Keystone Cougar 30BHS. My new truck is experiencing random trailer break controller disconnection while towing. This happened yesterday on the first trip bringing it home from the RV Dealership to my house. The trip was 68 miles total. It happened often and without a pattern. I kept getting âcheck trailer wiringâ messages followed by a âtrailer disconnectedâ message while towing a trailer and the trailer brakes would not engage. The trailer would âreconnectâ and then âdisconnectâ constantly while driving. I lost my trailer brakes while trying to brake down a hill. Not having working trailer brakes is extremely dangerous.
