The affected vans have rear brake lines that might have been crossed during the modification. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."

I ENCOUNTERED AN ISSUE WITH THE PACIFICA. THE SLIDING DOORS CONTINUES TO CLOSE ALL THE WAY EVEN WHEN SOMEONE/SOMETHING IS IN THE WAY. I EXPECTED THE SLIDING DOORS TO RETRACT ON CONTACT. WITHOUT THIS RETRACTION, A CHILD COULD EASILY GET CAUGHT AND CRUSHED BY THE DOORS AS THE DOOR MOTORS ARE VERY POWERFUL. I REPORTED THIS TO CHRYSLER ON SEPTEMBER 8. I TOOK IN THE PACIFICA TO A DEALERSHIP BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. CHRYSLER HAS BEEN UNRESPONSIVE SINCE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE THE PASSENGER WAS ENTERING THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR, THE DRIVER STARTED THE ENGINE AND THE SLIDING DOOR IMMEDIATELY REVERSED TO CLOSE, TRAPPING THE PASSENGER'S LEG AGAINST THE DOOR PANEL. THE DOOR WOULD NOT REVERSE DIRECTION AFTER MAKING CONTACT WITH THE PASSENGER'S LEG. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. SPEEDOMETER NOT REPORTING CORRECT VEHICLE SPEED. WHILE BARELY TOUCHING ACCELERATOR VEHICLE REPORTED ME DRIVING 67 MPH. I WAS DRIVING ACCORDING TO SPEEDOMETER 47 MPH, I WAS PULLED OVER BY AN OFFICER WHO STATED I WAS CLOCKED AT 67 MPH.
