Not sure what system is causing it but my trunk keeps opening and itâs done it many while I was driving. I understand a lot of other Ford Fusion owners are having the same problem and I urge you to look into the problem as it can cause accidents and deaths.
My 2019 Ford fusion while driving, the trunk opens by itself. It blocks the rear view of the vehicle. I had to pull over and close it several times while driving for this. I had to put a bungee cord around the trunk to keep it from opening. The trunk opening by itself is a safety hazard and the contents of what is in the trunk it exposed. I already spent over $210 in repairs with the dealer estimating the cost would be over $1100 including the wire harness from the body control module and including the body control module if the harness does not fix this.
